Before Starting...

ALWAYS PERFORM THIS PROCESS USING A DIGITAL COPY OF YOUR PHOTOS. NEVER APPLY KODAK SMART TOUCH TO ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH USING THIS PROCEDURE, UNLESS DIGITIZED USING THE KODAK PICTURE SAVER SCANNER WITH THE KODAK PICTURE SCANNING SOFTWARE.

Using Perfect Touch on Photos not Digitized through the Kodak Picture Saver System Software

Step 1 - Import COPIES OF YOUR ORIGINAL PHOTOS onto the computer.
Step 2 - Open up the Kodak Picture Saver System Software.

Step 3 -Create a new job on the Kodak Picture Saver System Software, we will name the job “Perfect Touch” in this example.

Step 4 - After you have put in a name for your new job and clicked on continue, you will be brought over to the “Scan Images” screen and be asked to name the folder. You can name it whatever you like but we will keep it “Folder001” for this tutorial.

Step 5 - Copy the photos you have imported by going into where they have been saved, for example we saved them under a folder named “test” under our Pictures folder.

Step 6 - With the photos copied to your clipboard navigate to your “Scanned_Pictures” folder(if it was installed with the default settings, it is under “C:\Scanned_Pictures” and the folder you just created which for us would be “C:\Scanned_Pictures\Perfect Touch_20161128213459\FD_01\Folder001” paste your photos into this folder and then go back to the Kodak Picture Saver Software, you will notice that your photos have not been imported yet.

Step 7 - You will need to select previous at the top of the “Scan Images” screen

Step 8 - Once back to the customer order information screen your previous job will be still be under the order #

Step 9 - Click on continue and you will be brought to the “Scan Images” screen but  you will have a Type mismatch error. The reason for this error is because the photos are not named properly for Kodak’s naming system.

Step 10 - Click OK and you will get the same error, click OK again and your photos will be loaded into the software.

Step 11 - From here you can apply Perfect Touch and once you have finished click on “Scanning Completed” you will get the same Type mismatch error, click on OK to continue. From here you can Finalize the order and start a new job if you would like. This will keep the photos the same name as the job was imported.
