What is the throughput speed of the PS50?

The Kodak Picture Saver Scanner Model PS50 can scan up to 50 pictures (4 x 6-inch size in landscape orientation) per minute at 300 dpi (3,000 per hour), or up to 23 pictures per minute at 600 dpi (1,380 per hour).

Users report the PS50 as being mechanically capable of exceeding the maximum work efficiency of its human operator. Sustained scanning rates of 1,500-2,500 pictures per hour at 300 dpi and 500-900 per hour at 600 dpi are reported as comfortably obtainable by the average trained operator. (Throughput speed may vary depending on your choice of operating system, PC and print size.)
