The physical resolution at which a scanner can capture and digitize an image is referred to its optical resolution. Alternatively, scanning devices can use a process to generate scanned images at higher resolutions based upon software enhancement. This is known as interpolated resolution.
The PS50's optical resolution is up to 600 dpi. It also offers a 1200 dpi interpolated resolution.
Depending upon the software used in scanning, the PS80 can output scanned photos at these resolutions;
75 / 100 / 150 / 200 / 240 / 250 / 300 / 400 / 500 / 600 / 1200 dpi
(1200 dpi is interpolated).
